FAQs

Do I need a doctor's referral to see a physiotherapist?
No, you do not need a referral from your GP or specialist for a general physiotherapy appointment. We are a primary contact practice, meaning you can book directly. The earlier you come in, the quicker we can start your recovery.
What is the difference between a general and a pelvic health initial appointment?
A General Initial Appointment (e.g., for sports injury, back pain, post-surgery) is typically shorter and focuses on musculoskeletal concerns. A Pelvic Health Initial Appointment (e.g., for Women’s/Men’s Health, pregnancy, post-natal issues) is a 60-minute appointment due to the need for a more detailed history regarding bladder, bowel, and reproductive health. All pregnancy and post-natal appointments require a Pelvic Health consult.
Do I need scans (X-ray, MRI) before my appointment?
No, you do not. We are trained to perform comprehensive assessments to accurately determine the cause of your pain. If we believe a scan is necessary based on our assessment, we can write a referral for you or liaise with your GP.
Can I bring my baby or toddler to my appointment?
Of course! We understand the challenges of childcare and welcome you to bring your infant or child to your session.
Do you offer on-the-spot health fund rebates?
Yes, we use HICAPS for immediate claiming of Private Health Insurance rebates at the time of your appointment. Please bring your health fund card. Rebates vary based on your insurer and level of cover.
Do you accept Medicare / EPC referrals?
Yes, we accept Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plans for eligible patients who have a referral from their GP. Please note that we do charge a gap fee for these appointments.
Do you accept WorkCover and DVA claims?
Yes, we accept claims from WorkCover and treat DVA Patients.

WorkCover: For your treatment to be fully covered, you must first see your GP, submit a claim, and have it approved. We recommend you start physiotherapy as soon as possible (paying privately initially), and once your claim is approved, the insurer will generally reimburse your costs.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Same day cancellations incur a $50 fee. Cancellations within 2 hours of appt incur full consult fee. We send a text reminder two days prior, but it remains your responsibility to attend your booked appointment time.
